How I Met Jordin Sparks

I have to admit, I am not an avid TV watcher.  I couldn’t tell you any details about House, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS or Heroes.  Truth be told, I had to Google “Top TV Shows” just to come up with that list of five!  We’ve often discussed whether or not we even “need” Cable TV.  Each time, it comes down to the kids.  Yes, we are raising Mini-Entrepreneurs.  Although only 12 and 13, they’ve created a summer business and went door-to-door selling their service.  They recognize Jeffery Combs by voice.  But life without Sponge Bob?  Not sure we can overcome that…yet.

But American Idol is a TV show that MOST PEOPLE know about!  I’ve read that over 20  MILLION people tune in every week!

The first time I ever heard of Jordin Sparks was during her audition for season six of “American Idol” in summer 2006 which took the 16-year-old into the fast lane and toward international acclaim.  Jordin ultimately became the youngest victor on the nation’s No. 1 TV show in May 2007, at the age of 17.  See her performance here! Little did I know back then that I would eventually meet Jordin!

I met Jordin Sparks on April 4th, 2009, at the DubLi National launch.  DubLi is a worldwide on line trading firm.  It is composed of two very unique and individual business models – DubLi, a reverse auction portal for high level branded merchandise and DubLi Network, the business opportunity where anyone can establish their own business in a competitive market; with little if no risk.  This European based company that has brought a remarkable business model to North America.

I was aware that DubLi partnered with Jordin Sparks and Sparks Charities for its first ever Charity Auction in December 2008.  Over 2,000 DubLi customers participated in this special event!  The Auction was a Unique Bid auction and ran from December 1st to December 26th and netted $2,000.  DubLi donated 100% of the credits spent on the auction and 100% of the proceeds to Spark´s Charities and added an additional $3,000 to create a total donation of $5,000.00

What I did not know, was that Jordin Sparks is also a DubLi Business Associate!

It was a pleasure to meet Jordin.  She is as charming and bubbly in person as she is on TV!
